Sudip MUKHOPADHYAY

Sudip MUKHOPADHYAY currently works for Business Finland, the innovation instrument/arm of the Government of Finland, helping the country with incubation, innovation and investment strategy and nurturing hundreds of government funded startups in Finland. Areas of focus are Displays, AR/VR, full autonomy, future mobility, new space and circular economy. Prior to joining Finland, Sudip worked at Honeywell for 16 years as a corporate fellow and Director of innovation for Honeywell, brought over $7B new products revenue through his own research. Until most recently Sudip cofounded the Honeywell drone startup and wrote the Urban Air Mobility strategy for Honeywell corporate.

Sudip worked extensively in display materials and systems since 2003 and brought sizeable revenue starting with flat panel displays, rugged LCDs for cockpits, OLED, Oxide TFTs for mobile devices while working closely with some of the best companies and most recently on QD TV space.

Sudip advises NASA Principal Investigators, Skydeck, Radius, Farm2citi and volunteers time at Bay Area Society for Information Display (BASID) committee, overseeing university relationships and bi-yearly half-day seminars. Brought over 20K corporate money for BASID in last 6 years.

Sudip is trained as an engineer in India, Israel and here at Berkeley. Sudip lives in Berkeley with his wife, a biophysicist and their 6-year old daughter.
