Title: Enabling Flexible and Rollable Displays & Touchscreens

Abstract: Innovative device-makers have been developing flexible, curved, and 3D-shaped displays and touchscreens for years, but costly, brittle transparent conductive materials such as ceramic indium tin oxide (ITO) have limited the actual production of these devices. A new generation of ITO-alternative transparent conductive materials is emerging to advance the development of the flexible display and touchscreen markets. One such transparent conductor, Cambrios Technologies’ ClearOhm material, is an inherently flexible silver nanowire-based material that improves yields and conforms fluidly to surfaces, allowing for truly flexible 2.5D or 3D-shaped products. In addition to enhanced durability and flexibility, ClearOhm coating material provides higher conductivity, improved optical transmission and better production yields. Rahul Gupta, senior director of business development for Cambrios, will discuss how ClearOhm is enabling high-performance OLED and epaper displays.
